More about the Principal Investigator
- What is your area of Expertise?
- Cardiovascular and Exercise Physiology
- What interested you in getting involved with the Twins Study?
- The opportunity to branch out and become involved with –omics work through Dr. Rana at UCSD. Also, with Alan Hargens, Scott Smith, and Brandon Macias, we had previously conducted a twins study at UCSD in bed rest, a spaceflight analog
- What did you enjoy about the study?
- The opportunity to better understand the implications of extended duration missions on human physiology and the interaction with the –omics teams, who have a different perspective on this type of research and to introduce them (excited as they were) to spaceflight studies.
