University of Idaho Team Preps Weather Balloon for Launch

Logan Kearney and Cole Long, students at the University of Idaho, tie a zip tie to the base of a weather balloon as part of the preparations for launch, during FireSense’s uncrewed aerial system (UAS) technology demonstration in Missoula, Montana. These balloons use a sensor called a radiosonde to gather data on wind speed and direction.
