Nighttime, ground level view of Pad A, Launch Complex 39, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), showing the Apollo 13 launch vehicle during Countdown Demonstration Test (CDDT). Developed by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, the Saturn V launch vehicle stood at 363 feet and was capable of generating an incredible 7.5 million pounds of thrust at launch.
