The Earth image was acquired on October 9, 2013 at 18:57:30 UT when the spacecraft was at an altitude of 7,636 miles (12,290 kilometers), just after the earth entered the camera field of view. The image was taken through JunoCam’s methane filter and has been artificially colorized to appear blue.
This is creation was produced by “Astro0” at unmannedspaceflight.com and shows clouds over the Pacific Ocean, the moon in the background, and an artist’s rendering of the Juno spacecraft.
