Along with the Goldstone and Parkes antennas, Honeysuckle Creek had the privilege of transmitting the first images from the surface of the Moon in 1969. Operations at Honeysuckle Creek ceased in 1981 and the 26-meter (85-foot) antenna, seen here in the background, was transported to Tidbinbilla, Australia. Today, Tidbinbilla is more commonly referred to as the Canberra Deep Space Communications Complex (CDSCC).
