
NASA’s Space Launch System rocket integrated with the Orion spacecraft will travel 4.2 miles on the crawlerway from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39B for the first time, approximately an 8-hour ride with the crawler moving at a top speed of 0.83 miles per hour, for final testing ahead of the Artemis I launch.
The crawler-transporters have carried integrated rockets and spacecraft on the crawlerway to Pads 39A and 39B for more than 50 years at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
