The Chandra X-Ray Observatory (Chandra XRO) studies black holes, quasars at the edge of the observable universe, and analyzes comets in our own solar system. Chandra is the most powerful X-ray telescope ever built, with eight times greater resolution and the ability to detect sources more than 20 times fainter than any previous X-ray telescope.
