LAVA simulation of the Transonic Truss-Braced Wing (TTBW) modeled inside a computational representation of the NASA Ames 11- by 11- foot Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel. This simulation was of higher fidelity than standard free air simulations since it included porous-wall boundary conditions that simulate the baffled slots along the test section of the actual wind tunnel. Surface contours and streamlines on the TTBW model are colored by pressure, where red/pink is high pressure and blue is low pressure. The stripes on the tunnel walls represent porous-wall boundary conditions, where red represents flow out of the test section and blue represents flow into the test section.
