Library demonstrations and tours are offered for individuals or groups. To schedule a tour or a demonstration, send us an email, call (202-358-0168), or visit the library.

Tours

Library tours are tailored to the individual’s or group’s interests and needs. They encompass a walking tour of the Library, a description of the Library’s resources, models, & displays, and a summary of the Library’s services, policies & procedures. Tours are given on request and usually take 10-15 minutes. Appointments are preferred but not necessary.

NTRS

The NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS) database is maintained by the NASA Scientific and Technical Information Program. It contains bibliographic records for most NACA & NASA scientific and technical reports, plus many related reports other federal and foreign agencies. Many of the NASA & NACA reports are available in full-text. NTRS-registered (link web should be updated to https://ntrsreg.nasa.gov) includes limited or copyrighted documents, and is limited to registered NASA employees, contractors.

NASA GALAXIE

This online catalog indexes nearly all of the NASA Center Libraries’ materials. It includes books, documents, video tapes, DVDs, CD-ROMs, books-on-tape, journals, photographs, online journals and online documents. You must be on a NASA computer to search the catalog.

Science Citation Index / Web of Knowledge

This database indexes about 4,500 scientific and technical journals from 1955 to present. It is especially useful because it includes the cited references for all of the articles indexed, allowing for unique searching techniques. To access this subscription you must be on a workstation at NASA Headquarters or the Goddard Space Flight Center. This database is provided to Headquarters courtesy of the Goddard Library.
