ARCTek Strategic Technology Vision for Ames

The Ames Center Chief Technologist (CCT) aims to bring the ARC technology community together in order to communicate and discuss the Center’s technology opportunities, focus and future directions. ARCTek will assist

ARC staff are invited to:

  • get a clearer picture of Ames’ management vision and projections concerning national and agency needs and directions.
  • better understand Ames’ capabilities and enhance management’s vision.
  • achieve a common Ames’ vision of our technology future.

ARCTek has several phases.

  • In ARCTek 2012 Phase 1, we invited the Ames community to participate in the Center’s first interactive session on our technology activities.
  • For ARCTek 2012 Phase 2, we showcased Center Innovation Fund investigators and featured a “success story,” featuring a PI who has taken an idea from concept to flight.
  • During ARCTek 2012 Phase 3, a third Ames gathering was held during which all center staff, NASA Research Park, other industry, academic, and government organizations were invited to participate in a 2013 Center Innovation Fund (CIF) solicitation planning and networking activity.

NASA has been, and to a great extent still is, at the cutting edge of technology for the U.S. Government. The creativity and innovative spirit that fuel NASA are located at the NASA Centers – particularly at Ames. Help us help keep Ames innovative, maintaining our reputation as NASA’s “go-to” center for technology and innovation, and staying on the nation’s technology cutting edge.

We will continue to use this site to communicate updates on ARCTek as well as for other announcements. I look forward to your contributions to this important activity.
