Ames Strategic Partnerships Office ensures that NASA’s investments in pioneering research and development find commercial application to support and strengthen the American economy. The Ames Strategic Partnerships Office, comprised of the following three branches, helps corporations, startups, universities, and other government agencies connect with the opportunities that align with NASA’s missions.
Technology Transfer
NASA’s cutting-edge technologies are made available to the public to create life-altering products and services. The Technology Transfer office is focused on creating benefits for society through transferring its patented inventions, software and innovative knowledge to the industry partners for commercial applications.
Small Business Programs
The NASA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs fund the research, development, and demonstration of innovative technologies that fulfill NASA needs and have significant potential for successful commercialization.
Agreements Office
When skillsets and needs align, the Strategic Agreements office at NASA Ames facilitates the negotiation of agreements that will help your organization achieve its goals.
