Wallops Visitor Center

Tucked away on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility plays an incredibly important role in our understanding of earth and space science. Since its beginnings, Wallops has launched more than 16,000 rockets carrying science experiments, technology, and satellites. The public is invited to explore the history and future of NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility at the Wallops Visitor Center through engaging exhibits, videos, events, programs, and facility group tours.

Facility Tours

Go behind the scenes on a tour of NASA's Wallops Flight Facility! See active working areas, meet subject matter experts, and learn about upcoming missions and research! Tours are only available to qualifying pre-registered groups.

Watch a rocket launch from the coast of Virginia at the NASA Wallops Visitor Center's Launch Viewing Area! The Launch Viewing Area at the Visitor Center is located 7 miles from the launch range and is one of the only public sites with a clear view of the launch pads!
