These six hands-on science activities are aligned to Next Generation Science Standards. The activities help students understand the scale distance of the solar system, the way planetary bodies are impacted by celestial objects and how light is a term used to describe visible and invisible waves of electromagnetic energy. Activities include scale models of the Sun, Earth and the solar system, impact craters, spectroscopes and invisible light (infrared and ultraviolet).
