Will Boyington

Associate Administrator, Office of Communications

Will Boyington is NASA’s associate administrator for the agency’s Office of Communications, where he leads global communications strategy, public engagement, and media relations efforts across all NASA centers and missions. Boyington serves as a senior advisor to the agency’s executive leaders and leads a staff that implements all aspects of NASA’s internal and external communications.

With more than 15 years of experience in the government and private sector, Boyington brings a wealth of strategic communications experience.

Prior to coming to NASA, he served as director of external communications at Blue Origin, a private commercial space company, where he led the public relations team and policy communications. Boyington was previously director of communications of the National Space Council at the White House, where he led strategic communications on presidential space policy and coordinated messaging across federal agencies with space equities.

Prior to the White House, Boyington served as director of communications for Congressman Dan Newhouse (R-WA) and was previously the deputy press secretary for Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Boyington is a graduate of Hillsdale College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and French.
