Denise P. Pham

Chief, Fleet and Systems Management Division

Denise P. Pham is the chief of the Fleet and Systems Management Division with the Launch Services Program (LSP) at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In this role, Pham is responsible for leading LSP’s technical integration of the rocket fleets and missions. Her division provides insight and approval for independent NASA assessments of mission requirement verification, launch systems readiness, and commercial launch vehicle certifications.

Pham also oversees the NASA LSP Resident Offices, located at various commercial launch providers’ design centers, production facilities, and launch sites. Pham also leverages current LSP capabilities with the Commercial Crew Program.

Experience

Pham joined NASA in 1986 and has held several technical, project management, and supervisory positions supporting the Space Shuttle Program, Kennedy Space Center Design Engineering Directorate, the International Space Station Program, and LSP.

Education

Pham attended the University of Colorado in Denver and earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. She received a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Awards

She is the recipient of several awards, including the NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 2019 for excellent leadership promoting collaboration between LSP and other government agencies to benefit NASA programs, a NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal in 2019, a NASA Space Flight Awareness award for management in 2012, and a  NASA Space Flight Awareness Return to Flight Award in 2006.

Personal

Pham lives with her husband, Cuong Nguyen, in Orlando. They have two adult sons, Sean, and Alan.

In her spare time, she enjoys travel, reading books, and cooking.
