Bob Seibold – NESC Academy Biography

Bob Seibold is a Senior Project Leader in the Launch Systems Division at The Aerospace Corporation.  He has extensive experience in program management, launch and reentry vehicle technologies, ablative and thermal protection materials development, space hardware manufacturing, business development, and market research.  Prior to joining the Aerospace Corporation in 2000, he was employed for 38 years at Hughes Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas.  He has conducted numerous R&D programs sponsored by NASA, DOD, the FAA, and DOE, addressing launch vehicle technologies and advanced materials development, has authored 48 papers and reports on these topics, and was issued 4 U.S. patents on multiple-matrix composite materials.  He has a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University and is a member of Sigma Xi and an AIAA Associate Fellow.
