Looking for an alternative to the in-person field trip for students?
Learn about Earth and space with a virtual tour through NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center at Wallops Island, Virginia.
The virtual field trips involve a live presentation and question and answer session led by a Visitor Center staff member, and a hands-on activity using items commonly found in the house or classroom.
Virtual experiences focus on a variety of STEM topics that relate to Wallops and NASA missions, including; weather, rocketry and exploring the solar system.
These virtual field trips are available to groups with a minimum of ten participants. Groups may consist of entire classrooms or grades, home school groups or learning pods. Current programs are created for first through eighth grades, but custom programs for older age groups may be available upon request.
