NASA Wallops Current Programs Presentation April 10 at Visitor Center

A look at the many programs being conducted at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility will be the subject of a presentation at 5 p.m., Friday, April 10, at the Wallops’ Visitor Center.

Wallops Deputy Director Bruce Underwood will take a look at the diverse programs the facility conducts as part the Visitor Center’s Lecture Series celebrating the Wallops Flight Facility’s 70 Anniversary.

The third and final presentation will be by Wallops Director Bill Wrobel on May 1 and takes a look at the future of the facility which was established in 1945.

The lecture series leads up to a June 27 public open house of the Wallops Flight Facility.

The lecture series is free and open to the public. The NASA Visitor Center, including the gift shop, will be open from 5 to 6:30 p.m. each lecture night.

The NASA Visitor Center, located on Va. Rt. 175 about six miles from U.S. Route 13 and five miles from Chincoteague, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
