Foreman will share his career journey with guests and answer audience questions at 1 p.m. at the Medina Library on July 5. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet the retired astronaut and Medina County native after his talk and from 4-5 p.m. at NASA’s featured exhibit.

NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland will bring the Journey to Tomorrow exhibit to the celebration for a hands-on learning experience. It will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. July 5-6 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 7 in the County Administration Building parking lot on East Liberty Street. Air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible, the exhibit offers an interactive, fun-filled experience for guests. The 53-foot trailer includes informational stations, activities and a Moon rock brought to Earth by Apollo 17’s crew members.

Also marking its 60th anniversary this summer, NASA will distribute “Golden Astronaut” tickets to tour Glenn Research Center on September 29. NASA will randomly distribute these tickets at events throughout this summer, including the NASA exhibit during Medina’s Bicentennial Homecoming Week. For more information on the Golden Astronaut tickets and the full list of events visit: https://www.nasa.gov/feature/glenn-research-center-celebrates-nasa-s-60th-anniversary.

The Official Bicentennial Celebration Parade begins at 4 p.m. and travels through Medina Square on July 4.
