NASA Langley Exhibits at Maker Faire This Weekend

More than a dozen employees of NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, are scheduled to participate in a Maker Faire on Saturday, May 6, in an event that will showcase hobbies and projects ranging from 3D virtual reality to banjo-making and robotics.

Meanwhile, the national founder of the Maker Faire movement, Dale Dougherty, will speak at 2 p.m. May 4 at NASA Langley and at the Virginia Air and Space Center at 7:30 p.m. The NASA talk is open to employees and news media, but not the public, while the Virginia Air and Space Center event is free and open to the public.

Maker Faire

The Hampton Roads Mini-Maker Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton. Although the event is free to attend, you must register. For more information, visit http://hamptonroads.makerfaire.com. Registration will also be available at the door.
