Astronaut Scott Tingle, who recently returned from serving as a flight engineer on Expedition 54/55, will host a post-flight briefing at NASA’s Glenn Research Center on Thursday, Oct. 18, to discuss his 168-day mission aboard the International Space Station.
Members of the media are invited to attend the post-flight briefing, which begins at 10 a.m. Tingle will be available for interviews immediately following the briefing.

Tingle launched to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz spacecraft on Dec. 17, 2017 and returned on June 3, 2018. During his time on the orbiting laboratory, Tingle traveled more than 71 million miles, orbited the Earth 2,688 times and conducted one spacewalk totaling seven hours and 24 minutes.
Tingle also helped complete hundreds of experiments during his mission, including work on Glenn’s Coflow Laminar Diffusion Flame, Electric-Field Effects on Laminar Diffusion Flames and Advanced Colloids Experiment-Temperature 6.
Tingle was one of nine people selected in NASA’s 20th astronaut class in July 2009. Expedition 54/55 was his first space flight.
