On April 23, 2021, NASA astronauts Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Thomas Pesquet, and JAXA (Japaen Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Akihiko Hoshide launched from NASA Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A to the International Space Station on the agency’s SpaceX Crew-2 mission – the second operational mission for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.
