Water Egress Training for Gemini VI – August 1965
Astronaut Walter M. Schirra Jr., Gemini-6 prime crew command pilot, suits up during water egress training aboard the NASA Motor Vessel Retriever in the Gulf of Mexico. This training prepared the astronauts for exiting the capsule after landing in the ocean.
