STS-50 LBNP study
STS050-291-017 (25 June-9 July 1992) --- Astronaut Bonnie J. Dunbar, STS-50 payload commander, monitors a test being run on Lawrence J. DeLucas, payload specialist, in the Lower Body Negative Pressure (LBNP) apparatus in the Science Module aboard the Earth-orbiting Space Shuttle Columbia. DeLucas points to the title on the Glovebox\Protein Crystal Growth (GBX/PCG) Notebook to draw attention to his role with those United States Microgravity Laboratory 1 (USML-1) elements. The two joined four other NASA astronauts and a second scientist from the private sector for a record 14-days of science data gathering aboard Columbia in support of the USML-1.
