The mock-up has been making stops for public viewing along the route from NASA's Kennedy Space Center to its current stopping point.

JSC2009-E-153372 (14 Aug. 2009) — An Orion mock-up has arrived just north of Rocket Park at the Johnson Space Center for continuation of its testing at the NASA Houston facility. The mock-up has been making stops for public viewing along the route from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to its current stopping point. The full-scale vehicle is taking part in a series of tests known as PORT (Post-landing Orion Recovery Tests) to study the environment for astronauts and recovery crews after an Orion ocean splashdown.
