Onizuka Day of Exploration

over 100 hands-on activities, workshops, and classes for all ages to enjoy. With a special focus on Hawaiian culture, sustainability, and career development, there’s something for everyone to learn and discover. We have workshops on robotics, coding, renewable energy, and much more. There will also be a variety of interactive exhibits and displays, as well as live demonstrations and talks from experts in various fields.

Behind the Scenes: Astronaut Recovery Operations

April 10, 2024 | 2 p.m.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon delving into the vital role of the Hawaii Air National Guard 204th Airlift Squadron military personnel in astronaut recovery operations. We will empower female students in STEM through discussions and firsthand insights. Participants will receive a briefing on the execution of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program (CCP) Human Space Flight Support (HSFS) mission. They’ll also have the opportunity to visit a space capsule recovery vehicle rigged for airdrop and tour a USAF C-17 Globemaster III.
