Introduction
The NSSC Small Business Office connects with both large and small businesses through individual guidance, sharing information about upcoming procurement opportunities, and participating in local outreach events. Additionally, the office’s specialist advises the NSSC acquisition community on all small business-related matters.
The Vision of the Office of Small Business Programs is (OSBP) Improvement, Intensification and Sustainment of all small business concerns within NASA supply chains.
The Mission of the Office of Small Business Programs is (OSBP) is to:
- Promote and integrate small businesses into the industrial base of contractors and subcontractors that support the future of space exploration, scientific discovery, and aeronautics research.
It is important to note the NSSC small business specialist:
- Cannot assist contractors in the preparation of proposals
- Cannot in any way guarantee receipt of a contract award
- Serves as an advisor to the Contracting Officer who has final authority over contractual matters
- Is not involved in the personnel decisions of a contractor, including the hiring of new employees
