NASA Offers Events and Interviews in Denver and Boulder

HOUSTON – Media opportunities are available in Denver and Boulder, including a live appearance from orbit by an astronaut aboard the International Space Station, as NASA shares the accomplishments, promise and opportunities for research on the station in Colorado during the month of September.
The agency will display its newest exhibit, “Destination: Station,” at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver. The multimedia exhibit, free with regular admission to the museum, will be open to the public from Sept. 17 through Oct. 28.
Children gathered at the Fiske Planetarium at the University of Colorado in Boulder will engage in a live interactive question and answer session with an astronaut aboard the International Space Station at 10:25 a.m. MDT Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Students in fourth through eighth grade at University Hill Elementary and Casey Middle School will ask Expedition 29 commander Mike Fossum questions about life, work and research in space. The event will include a video link with Fossum and will be broadcast live on NASA Television. To attend the event, reporters should contact Erin Frazier, University Communications, at 303-815-2883.
Astronaut Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, a Colorado native, will be available for interviews at the Wings Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 6 – 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 – 3 p.m. To participate, contact Kylie Clem at 281-483-5111 or kylie.s.clem@nasa.gov.
Astronaut Mike Good and International Space Station Program Scientist Julie Robinson will be available to media from 1- 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, during an all-day Destination: Station Science and Research Expo at the Wings Museum.
