Grace Lutheran School Students Tour Dryden

PHOTO RELEASE 07-32P
Students in Mary Szalai’s third- and fourth-grade class at Grace Lutheran School in Lancaster recently had the opportunity to see first-hand the cutting-edge flight research projects and facilities at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. The students toured the center’s hangars, control rooms and other facilities and were briefed on some of the projects and unique aircraft at the local NASA field center. Szalai, wife of former NASA Dryden Flight Research Center director Ken Szalai, has been bringing her students to experience Dryden for 25 years. But the trip she made to Dryden in late May was her last as a teacher – she is retiring at the end of the current school year. School group tours of NASA Dryden can be arranged by contacting the center’s public services staff at 661-276-3449. – NASA Dryden photos by Tom Tschida
