Located at Ames Research Center, in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Spaceflight Division comprises four concentrated areas of cost effective spaceflight missions.

Spaceflight Projects Office (SPO)

The Spaceflight Projects Office provides project management for cost effective spaceflight projects. This office can partner with any university, company, and government agency.

LADEE

Mission Design Center (MDC)

The NASA Ames Mission Design Center (MDC) is a multi-disciplinary, concurrent engineering Technical Area within the Spaceflight Division that specializes in conceptual mission design.

Flight Dynamics (FD)

The Flight Dynamics (FD) team provides full orbital mechanics support in all mission phases. The team collaborates with the mission design, systems engineering and project management groups at NASA Ames.

VIPER

Systems Engineering Integration and Testing (SEIT)

Systems Engineering involves the top-down development of a system’s functional and physical requirements from a basic set of mission objectives. We provide systems engineering leadership and support to a variety of programs and projects.
