NASA Aeronautics’ Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) project is holding a poster contest for kids in grades 6-12 – who, in the spirit of transforming our skies, are being challenged to create an original artistic depiction of what Advanced Air Mobility looks like and how it is being accomplished.

Envisioning the specific research areas of AAM such as detect and avoid, air traffic management, autonomous systems, and even flying personal drones safely at home, participants have a chance to imagine what this near-future may look like and illustrate it on paper.

“Introducing Advanced Air Mobility to this middle school and high school audience is important because it will be their generation who sees it come to light,” said Jamie Turner, Business Operations Lead of the AAM project. “The project team is really excited to see what kind of creative results we get back. There are many different aspects of AAM to choose from.”

The winning entry will get the opportunity to have their work recognized publicly on NASA Aeronautics’ social media and the AAM project page. Submissions are due by November 15, 2021 at midnight EDT, and the winner will be announced no later than December 1, 2021.

To get started and learn more details on submission criteria and instructions, visit the contest’s page here: https://www.nasa.gov/aeroresearch/aam/aam-safety-poster-contest.
