NASA is seeking information from public, private, and academic organizations to determine technical needs and community interests that may lead to future solicitations regarding AAM research and development. This particular RFI is just one avenue of multiple planned opportunities for formal feedback on or participation in NASA’s AAM Mission-related efforts to develop these requirements and help enable AAM. ANNOUNCEMENT OF COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

With this Announcement, NASA is emphasizing its commitment to supporting the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry and community in addressing key safety and integration barriers by bringing together AAM vehicle, airspace and infrastructure providers and hosting an AAM National Campaign series.  NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) is seeking AAM partners that will focus on demonstrating integrated AAM operations in flight and simulation activities to be conducted as part of the first AAM National Campaign (NC-1), which is planned for 2021 and 2022.  NASA is currently seeking AAM vehicle developers that propose to fly as part of NC-1 flight activities in 2022, AAM operations infrastructure providers that propose to test and evaluate their infrastructure technologies and solutions as part of NC-1, and AAM airspace entities that propose to participate in an integrated AAM airspace simulation activity in 2021.
