NASA Wind Tunnel Facility Opens New Lobby for Guests

On August 9, 2022 Glenn Research Center’s newest lobby renovation, the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel Facility, was celebrated with a ribbon cutting by Acting Center Director, Dr. James “Jimmy” Kenyon and AETC Portfolio Office Director, Dr. Ron Colantonio.
Guests visiting or coming to do research in the 10×10 supersonic wind tunnel facility at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland will be welcomed inside a renovated lobby opened August 9. Acting Center Director James Kenyon and Ron Colantonio, director of the Aerosciences Evaluation and Test Capabilities (AETC) portfolio office, officiated at the ribbon cutting. The small ceremony recognized and congratulated the efforts of all involved in the project. A key focal point for stakeholders, workforce, tours, and visitors, the lobby showcases NASA's world class wind tunnel facility, its history, and unique test capabilities. The lobby upgrade is the building's first significant remodel in more than 60 years and the fourth wind tunnel lobby renovation that AETC has invested in since 2018. Text credit: Kim Scarberry
