This activity brings hands-on engineering and the adventure of space exploration to life for students. In this challenge, students follow the engineering design process to do the following:
- Build a solar hot water heater.
- Test to see if the heater can raise the temperature of water.
- Use the test results to improve their heater to cause the greatest increase in temperature.
