Scott Jakl

Scott Jakl contributed to CST by drafting, leading, and coordinating CST 1-Minute Failover (1MF) testing during the Electra 1.1 baseline release when the Mission Support Operations Contract (MSOC) significantly reworked failover capabilities after initial failures in 1MF System Release Testing (SRT).  Scott played a key role in testing CST Abort displays with Training Systems (TS), by supporting early tests and troubleshooting with Flight Directors and Plan-Train-Fly/Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) Flight Integration Division representatives.  His work assisted in identifying gaps in flight software’s actual versus expected behavior regarding abort status telemetry.  Scott conducted independent test runs for Boeing software engineers to test fixes to the onboard CCSDS File Delivery Protocol engine and worked with the FOD Flight Integration Division and Boeing to complete system requirements test objectives while minimizing impacts to the Avionics Software Integration Laboratory (ASIL) test rig availability by providing flexible test scheduling, leveraging TS assets as much as possible, and piggybacking on other ASIL tests when possible.
