NASA Recovery Director, Commercial Crew Program

Christine St. Germain is NASA Recovery Director for the Commercial Crew Program. Prior to this she was a program technical integration lead for NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In this role, she was responsible for leading the team that integrates the EGS Life Cycle Reviews, including the Post-Flight Assessment Report for EGS and the Launch Center Readiness Review that demonstrates the center and the program are ready for the upcoming mission.

Experience

St. Germain began her career with NASA in 2009 as part of the launch vehicle integration group, supporting both Ares I and Ares V planning and integration for the Constellation Program. In 2014, she transitioned to EGS (then called the Ground Systems Development and Operations Program) as an operations integration engineer, and in 2016, became a NASA test director in the Test, Launch, and Recovery Office. She supported landing and recovery operations planning, as well as the execution of Underway Recovery Tests in support of Artemis missions and the Artemis I recovery. She also supported launch operations processing, planning, and execution, in addition to console operations.

Education

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering in 2007, and the following year, received a Master of Science in engineering management from Florida Institute of Technology.

Personal

St. Germain currently resides in Merritt Island, Florida.
