Senior Mission Manager

Jim Hall is a senior mission manager for the Launch Services Program at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Hall leads the mission integration teams for his assigned missions. He manages launch services integration and launch vehicle engineering activities to prepare the launch vehicles to carry NASA spacecraft to their desired destinations.

Experience

Prior to joining the Launch Services Program in 2009, Hall held several positions across Kennedy. He was previously assigned to Shuttle Logistics, where he had the opportunity to work with the Russian Space Agency on the Orbiter Docking System. He supported Shuttle Payload Operations and the International Space Station Program, where one of his key roles involved work installing middeck experiments in the space shuttle at the launch pad and retrieving them on the runway when they returned from space. Hall also spent time in the Constellation Program working operations concepts for the flight crew.

Education

Hall earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1988. He interned at Martin Marietta Orlando Aerospace while attending college. Upon graduation, Hall joined the NASA team at Kennedy Space Center. He received a Master’s in engineering management from the University of Central Florida in 1992.

Personal

A native Floridian, Hall lives with his wife, Jennifer, in Cocoa Beach, Florida. They have two sons residing in Tampa. In his leisure time, Hall enjoys road biking, fishing, boating, and hanging out with friends and family.
