Edward Burns serves as the manager of the Commercial Crew Program’s Systems Engineering and Integration Office. His organization is responsible for defining and managing the technical requirements and the integrated certification strategy for Commercial Crew.
Experience
Burns has been working at NASA’s Johnson Space Center since 1991. He joined the Commercial Crew Program in 2011 following completion of the Space Shuttle Program, during which he managed the Space Shuttle Engineering Integration Office.
Awards
During his career, Burns received the NASA Exceptional Service Medal and the Silver Snoopy Award.
Education
Burns holds Masters Degrees from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and the University of Houston at Clear Lake.
