Professional Biography

Debbie Korth currently serves as the Orion deputy program manager at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. In her role, she assists the Orion program manager in the design, development, test, verification, and certification of NASA’s next generation human-rated spacecraft for Artemis missions.

Previously, Korth managed NASA’s Orion Crew and Service Module office at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, where she was responsible for the design, development, and testing of Orion’s crew and service module and launch abort system. She also served as the deputy manager of the Orion Program Planning and Control office, and in other leadership roles since joining the Orion Program in 2008.

Korth began her JSC career in 1991 in extravehicular activity and mission operations planning and quickly transitioned to Life Sciences, where she provided management over a variety of space flight hardware for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS) programs. She served as project manager for numerous space medical experiments, developed components of the Crew Health Care System on the ISS, and worked extensively with international partners on multiple spacecraft items and ground research.

When not at work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, running or playing tennis outdoors, and traveling.
