Dr. Alok K. Majumdar – NESC Academy Biography

Dr. Alok Majumdar obtained his Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Engineering from University of Calcutta, India and Ph.D. from University of Burdwan, India.  He did his Post-Doctoral Research in Heat Transfer Section of Imperial College in London, England.  Currently Dr. Majumdar works in Thermal & Combustion Analysis Branch in Propulsion System Department at NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.  He is the developer of Generalized Fluid System Simulation Program (GFSSP), winner of NASA Software of the Year Award in 2001. Dr. Majumdar regularly conducts GFSSP training classes and has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in the Mechanical Engineering Department at University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH).  He has published more than seventy five papers in journals and conferences and owner of two US Patents.
