Dr. Björn Krüger – NESC Academy Biography

Dr. Björn Krüger studied computer science, mathematics, and physics at the University of Bonn, Germany. He received his PhD (Dr. rer. rat) in computer science in 2012. From 2012 to 2015, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Bonn. In 2015 he joined Gokhale Method Enterprise Inc. (Palo Alto, CA) where he leads research activities and the development of the Gokhale SpineTracker and the Gokhale PostureTracker wearables. In August 2022 he was appointed a professorship at TH Köln – University of applied sciences. Dr. Krüger has published more than fifty peer-reviewed articles in the field of motion capture, motion analysis, and machine learning. In his interdisciplinary projects he works with application partners from medicine and sport sciences. He has received numerous publication awards and is topic editor for Sensors and guest editor for Frontiers in Surgery.
