NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine got a close-up view of the research being conducted at NASA Glenn during a visit September 18-19. He toured the towering, vast facilities at NASA’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio, home of the world’s largest space environments chamber and the facilities at the agency’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. Center Director Janet Kavandi showed Bridenstine through the Electric Propulsion Lab where researchers are testing space propulsion technologies that are critical to future deep space missions.

After his tours, Bridenstine met with the workforce to talk about the important work being conducted here every day. “Your research has transformed life on Earth in so many ways. Look at the way we communicate, the way we navigate, the way we produce food, the way we produce energy, and the way we do disaster relief in this country and the world. Every human on the planet has benefited from what NASA has done.”
