iss068e039389 (Jan. 9, 2023) --- JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Koichi Wakata retrieves JAXA Moderate Temperature Protein Crystal Growth samples for return to Earth. Station crews have grown these crystals for over 20 years for more than 500 related experiments. Microgravity yields higher-quality results for medical research.
