The Touch-And-Go Sample Arm Mechanism or TAGSAM will physically contact the asteroid Bennu to retrieve a sample.
The Touch-and-Go Sample Arm Mechanism is tested in the Lockheed Martin facility. The TAGSAM arm will be responsible for collecting a sample from Bennu’s surface.
