NASA needs a Ground Control Station software for small unmanned aircraft systems that can be safely used for live flight operations, while also providing the functionality necessary for researching advanced human-automation teaming concepts. Safety is critical when it comes to live small unmanned aircraft systems flight operations. However, NASA also requires unique functionality for conducting research during these operations. By building upon the foundation of a trusted open-source GCS software, this product can leverage existing safety and testing, while adding experimental features. This project will run in multiple challenges with prizes awarded for each challenge.
