Congratulations To Silver Snoopy Honorees

Six individuals at NASA’s Ames Research Center, including three Lockheed-Martin contractors within the Flight Systems Implementation Branch, Lance Ellingson, Diana Ly, and Kris Vogelsong, were recently honored with Silver Snoopy awards for their outstanding contributions to flight mission success.

NASA Astronaut Patrick Forrester presented the honorees with their awards during a ceremony at Ames on March 11, 2014. The Silver Snoopy award is the astronauts’ personal award that recognizes individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure flight mission success and safety.  The three have played critical roles on numerous successful scientific investigations conducted aboard the International Space Station, the space shuttle, and the 2013 Bion M-1 mission.   During the presentation, Forrester described the recipients as, “people who ran into brick walls but wouldn’t take no for an answer and found a way to keep going.”
