A limited number of Travel Stipends are available to students and early career researchers (less than 5 years after last degree) studying or working in the United States to help defray the costs of attending the workshop in person.

Travel stipends will cover expenses related to workshop attendance, up to a predetermined maximum amount. Funds spent beyond the awarded stipend must be covered by other sources. The stipend is for the awardee only and cannot be transferred to another person. The due date for travel stipend applications is the same as the abstract submission deadline. These stipends are made available by the generous support of the NASA Planetary Science Enabling Facilities program office.

NOTE: All expenses must be covered by the student/researcher prior to and during the workshop. Stipends will be provided by reimbursement after the participant’s return from the workshop. Reimbursement details will be provided to the awardees prior to the workshop.

Travel reimbursement will be made for the following expenses:

• Travel (air, train, taxi, bus, airport parking, rental car, parking, etc.)
• Accommodation
• Meals

Application process:

1. Applicants must first register for the workshop and submit an abstract.
2. Fill in the information requested in the form below.
3. Upload a recommendation letter from your research advisor or supervisor to be considered for the stipend. Early career researchers can write a self-recommendation letter. The Recommendation Letter should include statements on:
   • A description of the student’s or researcher’s work
   • Student or researcher’s technical ability
   • Relevance of attending the Earth and Planetary Cloud Workshop 2025 to student’s or researcher’s career
