As NASA explores the Moon, Mars, and beyond, we need faster, more efficient ways to talk to our spacecraft. One way we can improve communications between Earth and our spacecraft is through laser communications! Lasers, also known as infrared light waves, can send more information in a single “link” at one time compared to traditional radio waves.
