Request Services: Mission Commitment Process

When should I initiate a mission with SCaN?

Missions desiring use of SCaN Services should make contact as early in the development process as possible. Coordinating with SCaN is encouraged even if intended communications support solution does not involve SCaN (or SCaN-brokered) assets.

How do I initiate a mission with SCaN?

Reach out to the SCaN Mission Commitment Office (MCO) by contacting:
exploration-enabled@lists.hq.nasa.gov

Early dialogue with the MCO ensures that missions communicate their requirements for telecommunications, tracking, and navigation, and that SCaN has an opportunity to provide preliminary guidance and direction on network support.
