Bio:

Dr. Emma Yates graduated from The University of Manchester with a M.Chem (chemistry) in 2003 and Ph.D. (atmospheric chemistry) from The University of Bristol in 2008. From 2008-2010, Emma worked at the UK Meteorological Office as a remote sensing scientist in the upper air group analyzing physical atmospheric processes through wind and cloud observations. Emma has been working as a contractual research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center since 2010. She works within the Trace Gas GRoup (TGGR) and is part of the Alpha Jet Atmospheric eXperiment (AJAX) team. Emma’s interests focus on questions related to air quality and greenhouse gas emissions and impacts.
